STATEN ISLAND, NY – An 11-year-old girl who was hit and injured by a car while crossing a Stapleton Street five years ago has settled her lawsuit for $ 350,000, her attorney said.

The child, identified by the initials “AO” on court records, crossed Beach Street on July 2, 2015 at around 4:15 pm.

The New Jersey resident was hit by a 2010 Honda driven by Lisa Crosby, attorney Michael H. Bush said.

The girl was taken by ambulance to Richmond University Medical Center in West Brighton.

She suffered “several deep cuts” on her left arm.

Those injuries resulted in scars, said Bush, director of New Dorp law firm Chelli & Bush.

The girl’s family sued Crosby and Mark Herman, the vehicle owner, in the St. George Supreme Court.

The deal was recently finalized with the vehicle’s insurance carrier, Bush said.
