Denise has served as lead litigator in well over a dozen legal cases and brings over 25 years of experience handling critical antitrust matters and other major commercial disputes to the company.

Plunkett joins von Ballard Spahr LLP where she is co-managing partner of new York Office, head of the Payments Industry Group and head of the company’s women’s initiative. In particular, Plunkett has a successful history of representing Mastercard in some of its key antitrust and commercial cases, including currency conversion challenges and chargeback practices, and a recent federal jury litigation regarding termination of a Mastercard membership. She has also advised pharmaceutical industry players on antitrust and commercialization disputes worth billions of dollars, as well as negotiating licensing agreements.
