SEATTLE – Seattle City Attorney’s incumbent Pete Holmes is currently in a close race for the November general election.
After a first ballot count on Tuesday evening, Ann Davison led with 35% of the vote.
Holmes followed Davison with 33% of the vote.
Nicole Thomas-Kennedy followed Holmes with 32% of the vote.
The two top candidates in a primary are facing the parliamentary elections in November.
“The race for lawyers in this city is a real surprise,” said Scott McClellan, political analyst for KING 5. “You have a long-time incumbent who may not even make it to the general election, who is being ousted by the left and right.”
Holmes is in his third term.
