Respondent in Dacera case asks for donations to pay for lawyer

MANILA, Philippines – One of the eleven people killed in the death of flight attendant Christine Dacera appeals to the public for donations and helps pay for her legal defense.

Valentine Rosales, who claims to be a close friend of Dacera, said he and his friends are “fighting to fund a lawyer” who will assist and defend them on the case.

“I would like to ask for your help in raising funds for me and my friends who are struggling to fund a lawyer who can assist us in this situation and defend us effectively. Every donation means a lot and is valued. Thank you, ”he said in a Twitter post on Saturday.

Rosales, along with three other Dacera companions, has claimed innocence the night she died at a New Year’s party at a Makati hotel, amid police allegations that the 23-year-old flight attendant was raped and killed.

Rosales, Rommel Galido, John Pascual dela Serna III and Clark Rapinan all claimed Dacera died of natural causes and insisted that it was not a foul.

Galido, Dela Serna and John Paul Halili were earlier arrested by police but later released by Makati City Prosecutor’s Office.
