Mumbai: MNS staff assault Amazon’s lawyer; 2 detained

Almost a month after the Dindoshi Hearing Court granted e-commerce company Amazon temporary relief, MNS employees allegedly attacked a lawyer representing the company in court on Friday. The MNS staff became furious after the court broke the hearing at the Amazon Transportation Services Ltd. the petition submitted.

The attorney, Durgesh Gupta, appeared for Amazon, whereupon the court released the matter on December 9th. Gupta claimed the MNS workers were waiting in front of the court and when he came out they started beating him up.

“We recorded one case against four defendants and arrested two of them – Akhil Chitre and Kanthariya Chetan under Sections 341, 323, 504, 506 and 34 of the IPC. We are looking for the other defendant,” said Chief Inspector DS Kamble.
