Lawyer speaks about new indictments in opposition to officers in Harding Road case

HOUSTON – A lawyer representing one of the officers charged in connection with the fatal raid on Harding Street will speak about new charges filed Monday.

Lawyer Rusty Hardin has scheduled a press conference for Tuesday at 2 p.m. He is representing Houston police officer Felipe Gallegos, who was charged with murder in connection with the January 2019 raid that killed Dennis Tuttle and Rhogena Nicholas. Gallegos was charged in connection with Tuttle’s death.

Gallegos was one of six Houston officers newly indicted on Monday in the case.

Six other officers had previously been charged. plans to stream Hardin’s press conference live.

The Houston Police Officers’ Union has also scheduled a press conference on the case. It’s supposed to start at 4 p.m.
