According to the filed suit, 1st Light Energy Inc. allegedly (a) did not pay minimum wages, (b) did not pay overtime wages, (c) failed to provide statutory meal and rest hours, (d) failed to provide detailed wage statements, (e) no wages due, (f) no reimbursement of necessary costs for employees and (g) violation of the Law on Private Lawyers, all of which violate the sections of the Labor Code listed in the sections of the Labor Code Articles 201, 202, 203, 226 , 226.7, 510, 512, 1194, 1197, 1197.1, 2802, 2698 and the applicable wage ordinances lead to civil penalties for such alleged behavior.
The complaint also alleges that 1st Light Energy Inc., in violation of California’s Unfair Competition Act, Cal. Bus. & Prof. Code §§ 17200 ff. (The “UCL”) through a company-wide policy and procedure in which the correct overtime rate for the overtime worked by PLAINTIFF and others was not precisely calculated and recorded CALIFORNIA CLASS members. As a result of DEFENDANT’s deliberate disregard of the obligation to cover this burden, DEFENDANT allegedly did not properly calculate and / or pay all necessary compensation for the work performed by the members of DEFENDANT CALIFORNIA CLASS and violated California Labor Law.
