According to the lawsuit filed USC Verdugo Hills Hospital reportedly (a) did not pay minimum wages, (b) did not pay overtime, (c) did not provide legally required meal and rest times, (d) did not provide accurate detailed pay slips, (e) did not provide wages Grant due date and (f) violate the Private Lawyers Act, all in violation of the applicable sections of the Labor Code set out in sections of the Labor Code Sections 201, 202, 203, 226, 226.7, 510, 512, 1194, 1197 1197.1 2698 and the applicable wage order (s) and will lead to civil sanctions as a result of such suspected behavior.
The complaint further claims USC Verdugo Hills Hospital, in violation of the California Unfair Competition Act, Cal. Bus. & Prof. Code Sections 17200 et seq. (The “UCL”) by engaging in a corporate policy and process that failed to accurately calculate and record the correct overtime rate for overtime worked by PLAINTIFF and others CALIFORNIA CLASS members. As a result of the DEFENDANT’s willful disregard of the obligation to meet this burden, the DEFENDANT allegedly failed to properly calculate and / or pay all necessary compensation for the services rendered by the members of the company CALIFORNIA CLASS and violated California Labor Code.
