The Supreme Court issued an uneventful order list on Monday morning, the second released by the judges’ private conference on Friday, November 13th. On Friday, the judges added a case to their record of earnings for the 2020-21 term: Cedar Point Nursery v. Hassid, challenging a California ordinance giving union organizers access to farmyard property. On Monday, the judges neither added new cases to their merit files nor asked about the views of the federal government in new cases.
The judges will meet again on Friday November 20th. We expect orders from this conference on Monday, November 23rd, although – like last week – grants from the conference could arrive as early as Friday afternoon.
